Our Family

History

To trace the ancestry of Vachaparambil family, the senior most we could trace up to is Mr. Kuncheria from Maliackal family of Chengalam in the present Kottayam district of Kerala, India. He came to Kuttanad in AD 1760 and settled down in Pulincunnoo. Mr. Kuncheria began his career as a marchant, but later finding farming more profitable, took up agriculture. The rich harvest brought fame and wealth. Mr. Kuncheria was God fearing, very sincere and hard working man with very pleasing personality...

Like branches on a tree, we all grow in different directions, but our root keep us all together. But after all we are THE VACHAS.

About this Website

This website compile the history and genealogy of Vachaparambil, Pattam and related families that collected over several years. This task was initiated by Late Mr. K.C. Joseph (Josekutty Kannoottuthara) who personally visited many households to collect the information and later publish as a printed book. We appreciate all his efforts, because of that we could preserve a lot of valuable history. This website was created by Jomon Vachaparambil, who actively playing his role for collecting and compiling data with the help of the same minded family members, and maintaining it for VACHAS around the world.
